http://www.dcs.hull.ac.uk/cgi-bin/gedlkup/n=royal?royal10457 It may look like Zaida married her brother from this data! This is because of a conflict between sources on who she was. Sources in Morocco are convinced she was the daughter of the Emir. They claim that the Christians in Spain removed and altered records that indicated a Muslim ancestory for their Royal houses. The Emir was exiled in Morocco after being expelled from Spain, and it is claimed records from this time are still in Morocco. I leave it for future scholars to investigate. Others say she did not mother any children by Alfonso

Paine, Robert Treat (1731-1814), American jurist and revolutionary leader, born in Boston, and educated at Harvard College (now Harvard University).
Paine entered the ministry and in 1755, during the French and Indian War, acted as a chaplain. Later he studied law and was admitted (1759) to the bar. In the fall of 1770 he prosecuted the British soldiers on trial for murder for their part in the Boston Massacre. He was elected (1773) to the Massachusetts General Court. After its dissolution by the royal governor in 1774, it was succeeded by the Provincial Congress, in which Paine served as a delegate in 1774-75 and as speaker of the lower house in 1777. From 1774 to 1778 he was also a delegate from Massachusetts to the Continental Congress and in that capacity was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. He served from 1777 to 1790 as the first attorney general of Massachusetts, helped draft (1780) the present state constitution, and participated in founding (1780) the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He served as a state supreme court judge from 1790 to 1804.
