Eunice left CT with three of her sons and migrated to NC, probably in the early 1780's, where one theory has it that her deceased husband had gone ahead to NC, purchasing property and getting ready for them to join him when he met his death. So it may have been shortly after this that the family went down to NC to claim the land for the family (no proof, only conjecture).
Eunice's parents may have moved south at about the same time, settling in northern GA, probably close to the NC border.
Eunice was listed in the 1790 census living in Mecklenburg Co., NC. Anson County originated in 1759 and Mecklenburg came from it in 1762. Union County formed from both of these counties in 1850. Eunice is also mentioned in a land transaction in 1799.
Eunice's parents lived for a time in Oblong, Dutchess, NY.
