Hazrat Imam Husayn was born at Medina in 4 A.H. He was born one year after the birth of Hazrat Hasan, though it is also maintained that he was born together with Hazrat Hasan. He was born pre-mature. William Marsh married his mother's half 1st cousin, Sarah Button, dau. of Uncle Matthias, Jr. So they were half first cousins, once removed.
It appears that only 3 children lived to adulthood: Cyrus, Elizabeth & Priscilla.
William's middle name may have been "Squire." I have seen it that way once on Internet.
Apparently, these Marshes had a house fire in 1739 that took the life of their 7-yr. old daughter, Sarah. William was in the French and Indian War of 1756/57.
It is said that William bought some land around Kent, Litchfield, CT from brother, Matthias. He probably never moved to Kent, but his son, Rev. Cyrus Marsh, settled there.
