He sailed on the PLANTER of London (Nicholas Trerice, Master) from London April 2, 1635 and arrived at Boston on Sunday, June 7, 1635.
The following passengers certified from Kingston, Surrey. PALMER TINGLEY 21 miller Ipswich
Palmer Tingle of Ipswich, Massachusetts, born 1614, came from Kingston-on-Thames, England in ship Plantar, April 1635. He was in Ipswich in 1639 when he received a grant of eight acres in reward for his services in the war against the Pequad Indians in 1637. No record can be found of his death or marriage. He is claimed to be the husband of Anna Fosdick, because he is the only person of the name Tingle living in the Colonies at that time of suitable age to be her husband. He brought with him a certificate from the mimister of Kingston-on-Thames, stating that he was no sunsidy man, and testifying to his conformity. He is supposed to have married betwteen 1635 and 1640, Anna or Hannah, daughter of Stephen Fosdick of Charlestown, Massachusetts, who came from Lincolnshire, England to Charlestown in 1635 with his children and second wife Sarah Wetherell. Anna was born in 1615 and died in 1681. She marreid second James Barrett of Charlestown. She had by him 7 children, James, Mary (Mrs. John Ross), Hannah (Mrs John Scully), Stephen, John and Sarah (Mrs.Simon Grover).
