Apparently, even if he was homosexual, Edward II is still believed to be the father of Edward III. Even if he isn't, Elizabeth Fitz-Hugh is still descended from Edward I, but through his second wife. All we miss are Edward II and his mother and her ancestors. Whether Gaveston is the father of his wife's children or not doesn't actually affect this descent here (but it fails for other reasons).
