per photo copy of handwritten notes on Post and Hyde families (written after 1858 by whom?):
John Post and his wife Hester Hyde settled at Saybrook Ct. where their four eldest children were born. They removed to Norwich in 1660. His home lot was on the opposide side of the street from that of his father in law William Hyde.
.. Mr Post was an active and influential man in the town.
DEATH: date of death given in photo copy of Family Register page (from a bible?) evidently belonging to Hiram Bingham II which through a series of 'begats' gives the male ancestry of his four grand parents. as 10 Feb 1771; burial 'in the old cemetary near the church at Norwich Town.
