Perhaps son of Daniel "Meekes" who died 1624 in England
Thomas MEEKES [Mix] and Rebecca TURNER were called before the court Jul. 3, 1649 "to answer to their sinful miscarriage in matter of fornication, with sundry lies added thereto by them both in a gross and heinous manner."
With his brother William he sailed to New England on the ship "Hector" arriving in Massachusetts Bay 26 June 1637. In September 1637 it sailed on to what would become New Haven, Connecticut where Thomas settled. He changed his name from Meekes to Meeks to Mexx and finally to Mix.
