Daniel & Asahel are possible children for they were recorded as births in Clarendon; but I am not sure of the parents. Jerethemal was definitely a child of Moses & Eunice.
Moses's father was Capt. Jerethemal Powers who had rented Daniel Marsh's farm following the Revolution. However, Daniel fought to regain his property and won in the early 1790's.
It is also interesting to note that three men were being charged "cheats" by a local law officer in the Clarendon area.
From "The Vermont Newspapers 1783-1816" Page 10: April 11, 1785:
Nathaniel Chipman, State Attorney of Rutland County, requests anyone with knowledge of following defendants to come forward for trial June next. Reuben Pitcher of Rutland; Joshua Webster and Moses Powers of Clarendon, apprehended on informant as common cheats.
Reuben Pitcher had illegally purchased the Amos Marsh property that belonged to his heirs from Ebenezer Howard, who had married Amos's widow. So this trial may have had something to do with the Amos Marsh property.
