As a young man, Cadeyrn had met St.Germanus probably during his first visit to Britain. The saint blessed him and, ever since, he was given the name Fendigaid or "the Blessed". Cadeyrn was a warrior king who led the British troops at the Battle of Rithergabail (Aylesford, Kent) in 447, after his brothers revolt against their father and his invading Saxon henchmen. He was killed on the battlefield and buried under nearby Kits Coyty House, a megalithic dolmen.

This Daniel may have still been living in Worthington in the 1790 census since there are two listed for this year. One account says that he went to Hinesburg, VT. It is believed that he was living in Ferrisburg during the 1820 & 1830 Census but is not found there in 1840. There were two Marshes in Ferrisburg in 1840 -- Samuel & Thomas. Daniel's wife is unknown but it is said she was 85 when she died.
This Daniel may have had at least 3 children: Melinda, Marshall, & Daniel. Daniel, Jr. & Amelia were married 5/10/1792 in VT and he was b. 3/13/1788 in VT. Later this younger Daniel lived in Canton, NY and then went to Ohio. One claims that this Daniel was a son of Amos Marsh, Jr.; but this is not possible. Amos did go to St. Lawrence Co. but he married after 1788.
